Munawwara meaning
Munawwara (منورہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Illuminated, lit up, radiant (feminine of munawwar)
Munawwara (منورہ) is the feminine of the Arabic munawwar, "lit up", from the root n-w-r, which gives nūr, "light". Lane's lexicon explains the verb nawwara as giving light or shining, and also as praying the dawn prayer when the horizon has grown bright. The word is best known from al-Madīna al-Munawwara, "the radiant city", the title of Medina, the Prophet's city. Name lists give Munawwara as "illuminated" or "enlightened", in line with the dictionary. It is the female counterpart of Munawwar.
