Nikhat meaning

Nikhat (نکہت) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).

The smell of the breath; anything fragrant; perfume, odour

Also used to mean: fragrance, scent

Nikhat (نکہت) is the Urdu form of Arabic nakha. Lane's lexicon defines nakha narrowly as the odour of the mouth, and Platts's Urdu dictionary shows how the sense widened: first the smell of the breath, then anything fragrant, perfume or scent. In Urdu poetry nikhat is the fragrance of flowers or of the beloved, as in nikhat-e-gul, the scent of the rose. Name lists give Nikhat as "fragrance", the Urdu sense. A prominent bearer is the boxer Nikhat Zareen from Telangana, a world champion.
