Pratyasha meaning
Pratyasha (प्रत्याशा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Odia usage).
Confidence, trust, hope, expectation
Pratyasha (प्रत्याशा) is Sanskrit pratyāśā, built from prati- and āśā, "hope". Monier-Williams gives it as confidence, trust, hope and expectation, and Praharaj's great Odia dictionary records the same senses in Odia, adding faith, desire and the hope of success. It is used mainly in Odisha and Bengal. It is easily confused with Pratyusha, "dawn", which is a different word. The name carries a simple, hopeful meaning that fits a new arrival.
