Prakriti meaning
Prakriti (प्रकृति) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Nature; the original or natural form of a thing
Prakriti (प्रकृति) is the Sanskrit word for nature. Monier-Williams gives the original or natural form of a thing, its nature, character or temperament, and in grammar the base form of a word. In Sāṃkhya philosophy prakṛti is the primal matter from which the world unfolds, set against puruṣa, pure spirit, and in mythology it is a goddess, the creative power of the Supreme, identified with Śakti. Name lists give "nature", matching the dictionary. Prakruti is the spelling used in Marathi, Gujarati and Kannada families.
