Pragya meaning
Pragya (प्रज्ञा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Wisdom, intelligence, knowledge, judgement; wisdom personified as Sarasvatī
Pragya (प्रज्ञा) is the Sanskrit prajñā, "wisdom", spelled the way it is usually pronounced in Hindi. Monier-Williams gives it as "wisdom, intelligence, knowledge, discrimination, judgement", and notes that wisdom personified is identified with Sarasvati, the goddess of arts and eloquence. In Buddhist thought prajñā is true or transcendental wisdom, one of the central ideas of the tradition. Indian name lists give Pragya as "wisdom" or "intellect", in line with the dictionary, and some connect it with Sarasvati as the dictionary does. Other spellings include Pradnya and Prajna.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Saraswati.
