Charvi meaning
Charvi (चार्वी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, चा, it is a Meen rashi name (Revati nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
A beautiful woman; splendour; moonlight; intelligence
Charvi (चार्वी) is the feminine of Sanskrit cāru, "agreeable, pleasing, lovely, beautiful", and so means "a beautiful woman". Monier-Williams, drawing on the old Sanskrit lexicons, also gives cārvī the senses "splendour", "moonlight" and "intelligence", and records it as the name of the wife of Kubera, the god of wealth. All these further senses are marked as coming from the lexicographers rather than from literary texts, so they are rarely met in actual writing. Name lists today give Charvi as "beautiful" or "lovely", and some add "moonlight" or the link with Kubera, all of which have dictionary support. The name is short and easy to say in English and in Indian languages alike.
