Chanchal meaning
Chanchal (चंचल) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin, also used for boys.
Moving, quivering, flickering; unsteady; (cañcalā) lightning, Lakshmi
Also used to mean: restless, playful
Chanchal (चंचल) is from Sanskrit cañcala, which Monier-Williams gives as "moving to and fro, shaking, quivering, flickering", and also "unsteady, inconstant". The feminine cañcalā is a word for lightning and for fortune, the goddess Lakshmi, who is said never to stay long in one place. In Hindi, chanchal describes someone lively and playful, especially a restless child or sparkling eyes, and baby-name lists give the name as "restless" or "playful". It is used mostly for girls, and sometimes for boys, in North India.
