Vidushi meaning
Vidushi (विदुषी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
A learned, wise woman; knowing, skilled
Vidushi (विदुषी) is the feminine of Sanskrit vidvas, "one who knows", from the root vid, "to know". Monier-Williams gives vidvas as knowing, understanding, learned, wise and skilled in something, so viduṣī is "a learned or wise woman". Name lists give the same meaning. In Hindustani classical music Vidushi is also an honorific for a distinguished woman artist, the counterpart of Pandit, as in Vidushi Kishori Amonkar.
