Manjushree meaning
Manjushree (मंजुश्री) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Lovely splendour (mañju + śrī); name of the Bodhisattva Mañjuśrī
Manjushree (मंजुश्री) joins Sanskrit mañju, "beautiful, lovely, sweet", and śrī, "splendour, beauty, prosperity", so it means roughly "lovely splendour". In Monier-Williams the compound mañjuśrī is the name of Mañjuśrī, one of the most celebrated bodhisattvas of northern Buddhism, who is associated with wisdom. As a girl's name it is used by Hindu and Buddhist families in many parts of India, also spelt Manjushri or Manjusree. Some baby-name lists add the sense "beautiful speech", which is not in the dictionary.
