Vidula (विदुला) is a Sanskrit name. Monier-Williams records vidulā as a plant of the spurge family and as a woman's name in the Mahabharata. There Vidulā is a proud queen who rouses her defeated son Sanjaya to fight again, and her speech is retold to the Pandavas as an example of courage. Name lists today usually give Vidula as "moon" or "wise"; we could not find either sense in the Sanskrit dictionaries, so these appear to be modern meanings. The name is used mainly in Maharashtra.
