Darshini meaning
Darshini (दर्शिनी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Seeing, knowing; showing (feminine of darśin)
Also used to mean: vision, one who sees
Darshini (दर्शिनी) is the feminine of the Sanskrit darśin, from the verb dṛś, "to see". Monier-Williams records darśin, usually as the second part of a compound, as seeing, observing and finding, as knowing and understanding, and as showing or teaching. It belongs to the same family as darśana, the sight of a deity or holy person that devotees seek at a temple, and as dṛṣṭi, "sight". Indian name lists give Darshini as "vision" or "one who sees", which fits the dictionary. In South India the name is often spelled Dharshini.
