Brahmani meaning
Brahmani (ब्रह्माणी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
The Shakti or female energy of Brahma; a name of Durga
Also used to mean: consort of brahma, goddess saraswati
Brahmani (ब्रह्माणी) is Sanskrit brahmāṇī, the feminine of Brahmā, the creator god. Monier-Williams gives it as the Shakti, the personified female energy of Brahma, and his wife, and also as a name of Durga. Brahmani is one of the Saptamatrikas, the seven Mother goddesses, usually shown riding a swan. Baby-name lists give the name as Brahma's consort or as Saraswati; the dictionary links it with Durga instead. The Brahmani river of Odisha carries the same name. As a girls' name it is especially used in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Durga.
