Nitya meaning
Nitya (नित्या) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Eternal, perpetual, constant; (nityā) a name of Durga
Nitya (नित्या) is Sanskrit nitya, an adjective Monier-Williams gives first as innate or one's own, then as continual, perpetual and eternal. In ritual language the same word marks the fixed, obligatory rites, as opposed to occasional or optional ones. The feminine nityā is a name of the goddess Durgā in the Brahma Purāṇa, of a Śakti in the Tantras, and, from the lexicographers, of the goddess Manasā. Name lists give Nitya as "eternal" or "constant", sometimes with a link to Durga, which matches the dictionary. The name is used across India and in the south is often spelt Nithya.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Durga.
