Vishalakshi meaning
Vishalakshi (विशालाक्षी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Large-eyed; a form of the goddess Durga
Also used to mean: wide-eyed, goddess parvati
Vishalakshi (विशालाक्षी) is the feminine of Sanskrit viśālākṣa, "large-eyed", from viśāla, "wide, large", and akṣi, "eye". Monier-Williams gives viśālākṣī as a form of Durga, one of the divine Mothers attending Skanda, and a Yoginī. In Varanasi the goddess Vishalakshi, consort of Vishwanath, has her own ancient temple and is counted among the Shakti Peethas. Name lists give "wide-eyed" and link the name to Parvati, consistent with the dictionary. Visalakshi is the usual Tamil spelling.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Durga.
