Shyama meaning
Shyama (श्यामा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Dark, dark-complexioned; a name or form of Durgā; the Yamunā; night
Also used to mean: beautiful, radha
Shyama (श्यामा) is the feminine of Sanskrit śyāma, "dark", covering black, dark blue, brown, grey and green. Monier-Williams notes that a dark or swarthy complexion was considered a mark of beauty, and gives śyāmā as a name or form of Durgā worshipped by the Tāntrikas, as a name of the river Yamunā, as the night, and as the female Indian cuckoo. In Bengal Śyāmā is a beloved name of the goddess Kālī, and Krishna is Śyām, "the dark one". Name lists give "dark", "beautiful" or "Radha". The name is used across India.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Durga.
