Palak meaning
Palak (पलक) is a Hindu girl's name of Hindi origin.
Eyelid, eyelash; a moment, an instant
Palak (पलक) is a Hindi word with two linked senses. Platts and the Hindi Śabdasāgara both give the eyelid or eyelash, and also a moment or an instant, the time it takes to blink, as in the phrase palak jhapakte, "in the blink of an eye". Name lists most often give Palak as "eyelash", sometimes adding protection or delicate beauty as associations. The name has nothing to do with pālak, spinach, which has a long first vowel and is a different word. Palak is used across North and West India.
