Lalima meaning
Lalima (लालिमा) is a Hindu girl's name of Hindi origin. By its first sound, ला, it is a Mesh rashi name (Ashwini nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Redness, a red glow (poetic)
Also used to mean: glow of dawn
Lalima (लालिमा) is a poetic Hindi word for redness or a red glow. McGregor's Oxford Hindi–English Dictionary treats it as a literary form of lālī, "redness, a red glow or flush", and Platts records lālī with the same sense. In Hindi poetry and everyday description the word is used above all for the red of the sky at sunrise and sunset, which is why name lists often give Lalima as the glow of dawn. It is used mainly in Hindi-speaking North India.
