Prabha meaning
Prabha (प्रभा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Light, splendour, radiance; beautiful appearance
Also used to mean: glow
Prabha (प्रभा) is Sanskrit for light, from the verb pra-bhā, "to shine forth". Monier-Williams gives it as light, splendour, radiance and beautiful appearance, and records light personified: Prabhā is the wife of the sun, or the wife of Kalpa and mother of morning, noon and evening, and a form of Durga in the sun's disc. It is also the name of a Śakti, an Apsaras, and the mother of King Nahusha. Name lists give "light" or "glow", in line with the dictionary. Prabha is used across India and is the root of names such as Prabhat and Prabhavati.
