Prachiti meaning
Prachiti (प्रचिती) is a Hindu girl's name of Marathi origin (from Sanskrit pratīti).
Experience that proves something; verification; insight, conviction
Also used to mean: knowledge
Prachiti (प्रचिती) is a Marathi word for an experience that proves something true: in everyday Marathi one speaks of getting the prachiti of a person's kindness. Molesworth's dictionary explains pracīti as a form that grew out of Sanskrit pratīti by a slip, the Old Marathi dictionary gives "direct experience", and Berntsen's Marathi dictionary glosses it as verification or proof. Monier-Williams gives pratīti as clear insight and complete understanding, and also confidence and faith. Name lists give Prachiti as "knowledge". It is a distinctly Marathi girls' name.
