Kalaivani meaning
Kalaivani (கலைவாணி) is a Tamil and Hindu girl's name.
Sarasvati; kalai (arts, learning) joined with vāṇi (speech, Sarasvati)
Also used to mean: goddess Saraswati, goddess of the arts
Kalaivani (கலைவாணி) is a Tamil name for Sarasvati, the goddess of learning. It joins kalai, which the Tamil Lexicon gives as the arts and sciences, learning and erudition, with vāṇi, speech, learning, and Sarasvati herself. Monier-Williams likewise defines Sanskrit vāṇī as voice, speech and the goddess of speech. The Lexicon also lists kalaimakaḷ, "daughter of the arts", for the same goddess. The playback singer Vani Jairam was born Kalaivani.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Saraswati.
