Isakki meaning
Isakki (இசக்கி) is a Tamil unisex name, used for both girls and boys.
Isakki Amman, a South Indian form of Durga; from Sanskrit yakṣī
Also used to mean: Goddess Isakki Amman
Isakki (இசக்கி) is the name of Isakki Amman, a guardian goddess of the villages of southern Tamil Nadu, especially Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari. The Tamil Lexicon derives icakki from Sanskrit yakṣī, a female nature spirit, and defines Isakkiyamman as a form of Durgā worshipped in South India. Families devoted to her give the name to both girls and boys, often in compounds such as Isakkimuthu, Isakkiraj or Isakkiammal. It is a regional name of the far south, and is also spelled Esakki.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Durga.
