Isai meaning
Isai (இசை) is a Tamil unisex name, used for both girls and boys.
Music, song; also sound, praise and fame
Also used to mean: melody
Isai (இசை) is the Tamil word for music. The Tamil Lexicon gives a rich set of senses: sound, word, praise and renown, song and music, instrumental music, sweetness, the pitch of the voice, and the seven notes of the scale. Isai is also one of the three branches of classical Tamil, Muthamizh: iyal (literature), isai (music) and nāṭakam (drama). Name lists give "music" or "melody", the same as the dictionary. As a name it is short and modern, used for girls and boys, and it begins longer names such as Isaivani. It has no link to the Hebrew name Isai.
