Prarthana meaning
Prarthana (प्रार्थना) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Prayer; a request or petition
Prarthana (प्रार्थना) is the Sanskrit and Hindi word for a prayer. It comes from pra-arth, "to ask for, to request", and Monier-Williams gives both its original sense, a request or petition, and its religious sense, prayer as part of the worship of the gods. Many Indian schools still begin the day with a prārthanā, a sung morning prayer. Name lists give "prayer", matching the dictionary. Prarthna is the spelling that follows Hindi pronunciation.
