Vaidehi meaning
Vaidehi (वैदेही) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
A princess of Videha, especially Sita
Vaidehi (वैदेही) is Sanskrit vaidehī, "a woman of Videha". Videha was the ancient kingdom of King Janaka in the north of present-day Bihar, and Monier-Williams records vaidehī as a princess of the Videhas, especially Sita, Janaka's daughter. In the Ramayana and in later devotional poetry Sita is often simply called Vaidehi, and name lists today explain the name the same way. The dictionary also notes some minor senses, such as a yellow pigment and long pepper, which are not meant by the name.
