Sharvani meaning
Sharvani (शर्वाणी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Wife of Śarva (Śiva), i.e. Pārvatī
Also used to mean: goddess parvati, durga
Sharvani (शर्वाणी) is the Sanskrit śarvāṇī, the feminine of Śarva, one of the oldest names of Śiva, found already in the Atharvaveda alongside Bhava and Rudra. Monier-Williams gives śarvāṇī as "Śiva's wife", citing the ritual sūtras, the Mahābhārata and later literature, so it is a name of Pārvatī, the same pattern as Bhavānī from Bhava and Rudrāṇī from Rudra. Name lists give Sharvani as "goddess Parvati" or "Durga", which matches. The name is used across India and especially in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Parvati.
