Vaishnavi meaning
Vaishnavi (वैष्णवी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
The Śakti (divine power) of Viṣṇu, identified with Durgā; a worshipper of Viṣṇu
Vaishnavi (वैष्णवी) is the feminine of Sanskrit vaiṣṇava, "of Vishnu". Monier-Williams gives it as a female worshipper of Vishnu and, above all, as "the personified Śakti", the divine energy, of Vishnu, counted among the Mothers (Mātṛs) and identified with Durga. The dictionary also uses it for several plants, among them holy basil (tulsi), and for a scale pattern in Indian music. The goddess of the Vaishno Devi shrine in the Trikuta hills of Jammu and Kashmir is also known as Vaishnavi. Indian name lists give the name as "Goddess Durga" or "worshipper of Vishnu", in line with the dictionary.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Durga.
