Paulomi meaning
Paulomi (पौलोमी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Daughter of Puloman: Indra's wife Shachi
Also used to mean: wife of indra
Paulomi (पौलोमी) means "daughter of Puloman", formed from the name of the Asura king Puloman. Monier-Williams gives paulomī as the name of Indra's wife, better known as Shachi or Indrani, the queen of the gods, and also of a wife of the sage Bhṛgu. Name lists give the same meaning, "Shachi, consort of Indra"; one or two add "little" or "humble", which the dictionary does not support. The name is used in Bengal, where it is often spelled Poulomi.
