Mohita (मोहिता) is the feminine of Sanskrit mohita, from the verb muh, "to be bewildered, to lose one's senses". Monier-Williams gives stupefied, bewildered, infatuated and deluded, citing the Mahabharata and Ramayana, often in compounds such as kāma-mohita, "overcome by love". Name lists give the gentler senses charmed, enchanted or attracted. Those are a softened reading of the dictionary's "infatuated", so we show them as popular meanings. The same root gives Mohini, the enchantress form of Vishnu, and Mohan, a name of Krishna. Mohita is the girls' form of Mohit.
