Sanyogita meaning
Sanyogita (संयोगिता) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Union, connection (from saṃyoga, 'conjunction, union; marriage')
Sanyogita (संयोगिता) is built on Sanskrit saṃyoga, which Monier-Williams gives as conjunction, combination and union, including the union of marriage. The name form itself is not in the dictionary, but name lists agree on "union" or "connection". It is best known from the Prithviraj Raso, the bardic poem in which Sanyogita, also called Samyukta, daughter of Jaichand of Kannauj, garlands an image of Prithviraj Chauhan at her svayamvara and is carried off by him. The story has kept the name in use as a girls' name in Maharashtra and across northern India.
