Supriti meaning
Supriti (सुप्रीति) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Great joy or delight
Also used to mean: true love
Supriti (सुप्रीति) is the Sanskrit suprīti, formed from su, "great, very", and prīti, which Monier-Williams glosses as pleasure, joy and gladness, and also as kindness, affection and love. The compound itself is given as "great joy or delight". Name lists usually give "true love", which draws on the second sense of prīti; the dictionary meaning of the whole word is joy. The name is used mainly in Bengal and Karnataka; the Bengali singer Supriti Ghosh is a well-known bearer.
