Rajasi meaning
Rajasi (राजसी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, रा, it is a Tula rashi name (Chitra nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
A name of Durga; (Hindi) royal, befitting a king
Also used to mean: worthy of a king
Rajasi (राजसी) has two strands. In Sanskrit, Monier-Williams lists rājasī as a name of the goddess Durgā; it is the feminine of rājasa, "relating to rajas", the quality of energy and passion in Indian philosophy. In modern Hindi, rājasī is an everyday adjective for anything befitting a king or prince, royal or regal, as in rājasī ṭhāṭ-bāṭ, royal splendour. Name lists give Rajasi as "worthy of a king" and also as a name of Durga, so both strands are reflected. Rajsi is a shorter spelling.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Durga.
