Ranjani meaning
Ranjani (रंजनी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Pleasing, delighting (feminine of rañjana); also a musical interval
Also used to mean: delightful
Ranjani (रंजनी) is the feminine of Sanskrit rañjana, which Monier-Williams defines as colouring and as pleasing, charming and delighting, as in jana-rañjanī, "delighting the people". As a noun of its own, rañjanī names several dye plants, including indigo, turmeric and saffron, a fragrant perfume and a particular śruti, a microtonal interval in Indian music. Name lists give Ranjani as "pleasing" or "delightful", in line with the adjective. The name is used in South India, as is the spelling Ranjini.
