Ranjita meaning
Ranjita (रंजिता) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Coloured; illumined; charmed, delighted
Also used to mean: pleased
Ranjita (रंजिता) is the feminine of Sanskrit rañjita, the past participle of the root rañj, "to colour, to delight". Monier-Williams gives three groups of senses: coloured, dyed, painted or tinted; illumined, in the Bhagavata Purana; and affected, moved, charmed or delighted, in the Mahabharata and classical poetry. Name lists give Ranjita as "delighted", "pleased" or "coloured", which matches the dictionary. The masculine Ranjit is related in form, though it is often explained differently as a boys' name.
