Ritika meaning
Ritika (ऋतिका) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (modern).
Movement, going (from ṛti, "going, motion")
Also used to mean: stream
Ritika (ऋतिका) is a modern name usually explained from Sanskrit ṛti, a feminine noun whose first sense in Monier-Williams is going or motion, with -kā added as a feminine ending. That fits the meaning name lists give most often, "movement" or "stream". The dictionary has no separate entry for ṛtikā itself. A similar-looking word, rītikā, does exist, but it means brass or bell-metal, and it is only that word some sites are echoing when they give "brass". The name is written both ऋतिका and रितिका, and Rithika is the usual South Indian spelling.
