Trina meaning
Trina (तृणा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Bengali usage).
Grass, a blade of grass, any herb
Trina (तृणा, Bengali তৃণা) is a Bengali girls' name from Sanskrit tṛṇa, which Monier-Williams gives as "grass, herb, any grass-like plant, a blade of grass, straw". Monier-Williams adds that a blade of grass is often a figure for something very small. Name lists give Trina as "grass", which matches the dictionary. The same spelling is also used in English-speaking countries as a short form of Katrina, which is a separate name with a different origin.
