Trisha meaning
Trisha (तृषा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Thirst; strong desire
Trisha (तृषा) is Sanskrit tṛṣā, "thirst", and by extension "strong desire". Monier-Williams also records Tṛṣā as Desire personified, a daughter of Love. The related word tṛṣṇā carries the same idea of thirst and longing. Indian name lists give Trisha as thirst or desire, sometimes adding ambition, so the popular meaning stays close to the dictionary. In Hindi it is also written त्रिशा. The English name Trisha, a short form of Patricia, sounds the same but has a separate, Latin origin. In India Trisha is a girl's name used in many languages.
