Vasanti meaning
Vasanti (वासंती) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, वा, it is a Vrishabh rashi name (Rohini nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Of spring, vernal; a jasmine; a spring festival; a woodland goddess
Vasanti (वासंती) is Sanskrit vāsantī, the feminine of vāsanta, "belonging to spring". Monier-Williams gives the adjective as vernal, and also "in the spring of life, young". As a noun vāsantī names several spring-flowering plants, among them a jasmine, as well as a spring festival held in the month of Chaitra, a musical mode (rāgiṇī) and a goddess of the woods. Name lists give the simple meaning "spring". The name is used in Maharashtra and Karnataka; Basanti is the eastern and Hindi form.
