Vasudha meaning
Vasudha (वसुधा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
The earth; a name of Lakṣmī; (Vedic) wealth-giving
Vasudha (वसुधा) is Sanskrit vasudhā, a compound of vasu, "wealth, good things", and dhā, "giving" or "holding". In the Vedas vasudhā is an adjective, "producing wealth, liberal"; as a feminine noun Monier-Williams gives the earth, then a country or kingdom, the ground or soil, and a name of the goddess Lakshmi. The earth is called the holder and giver of riches, an idea shared by its other names Vasundharā and Vasumatī. The same word appears in the well-known phrase vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam, "the whole earth is one family". Name lists give "earth", matching the dictionary.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Lakshmi.
