Lekha meaning
Lekha (लेखा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, ले, it is a Mesh rashi name (Bharani nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Line, streak, stroke; writing; drawing; the young moon's crescent
Lekha (लेखा) is Sanskrit lekhā, a feminine noun Monier-Williams traces to the Śatapatha Brāhmaṇa. Its first meaning is a scratch, streak or line, and from there it widens to the act of drawing or painting, writing and handwriting, a likeness or figure, a hem, border or horizon, and the pale streak of the young moon's crescent. The masculine lekha covers a letter, a manuscript or any written document. Name lists today keep to the same senses, usually "writing" or "line". The word also closes older compounds such as candra-lekhā, the crescent of the moon, which lives on as the girls' name Chandralekha.
