Brahmi meaning
Brahmi (ब्राह्मी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Speech, or the goddess of speech (Sarasvati); the energy of Brahma
Also used to mean: goddess saraswati
Brahmi (ब्राह्मी) is the feminine of Sanskrit brāhma, "belonging to Brahma". Monier-Williams gives brāhmī as speech, or the goddess of speech, identified with Sarasvati, and as the Shakti or personified energy of Brahma, one of the eight Mother goddesses. It also names various plants, and today brahmi is best known as an Ayurvedic herb. The same word names the Brahmi script of the Ashokan edicts, the ancestor of most Indian scripts. Baby-name lists give the name as Goddess Saraswati.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Saraswati.
