Rachana meaning
Rachana (रचना) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Arrangement, making, production; a literary composition
Rachana (रचना) is Sanskrit racanā, a noun from the root rac, "to arrange, to produce". Monier-Williams gives arrangement, preparation and production, and then a literary work or composition, style, and a contrivance or invention, along with small craft senses such as stringing flowers into a garland and dressing the hair. In the Bhāgavata Purāṇa Racanā is the name of the wife of Tvaṣṭṛ, the craftsman of the gods. Name lists give "creation" or "composition", which match the dictionary. In Hindi rachna is still the everyday word for a creative or literary work, so the name is understood at once.
