Sudakshina meaning
Sudakshina (सुदक्षिणा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Bengali usage).
Very courteous, sincere, generous; the queen of King Dilīpa
Also used to mean: very gracious
Sudakshina (सुदक्षिणा) comes from su-, "very", and dakṣiṇa, "right-handed, dexterous, courteous". Monier-Williams gives sudakṣiṇa as "very dexterous", "very courteous or polite" and "very sincere or upright, very liberal in sacrificial gifts". In Kalidasa's Raghuvamsha, Sudakshina is the queen of King Dilipa; the childless couple serve the sage Vasishtha's cow Nandini and are blessed with a son, Raghu. Name lists give "very gracious", in line with the dictionary. The name is chiefly Bengali.
