Dhanashree meaning
Dhanashree (धनश्री) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
The name of a woman (dhana 'wealth' + śrī 'prosperity'); also a rāga
Also used to mean: goddess of wealth
Dhanashree (धनश्री) joins Sanskrit dhana, "wealth, treasure", and śrī, which Monier-Williams gives as prosperity, good fortune, beauty and the goddess Lakṣmī. Monier-Williams records Dhanaśrī itself as a woman's name in Hemacandra's Jain chronicle, so the name is centuries old. It is also the name of a rāga of Indian classical music, Dhanashri, which appears as Dhanasari among the rāgas of the Guru Granth Sahib. Name lists give "goddess of wealth" or "prosperity". The name is used in Maharashtra, often spelled Dhanashri.
