Neeti meaning
Neeti (नीति) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, नी, it is a Vrishchik rashi name (Anuradha nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Guidance; right or wise conduct; moral philosophy, policy
Neeti (नीति) is Sanskrit nīti, from the root nī, "to lead" or "to guide", the same root that gives netra, the eye as the guiding organ, and netā, a leader. Monier-Williams gives its senses as guidance, management and conduct, right or wise conduct, prudence, policy, political science and moral philosophy. Nīti-śāstra, the teaching of prudent conduct, especially for rulers, is an old branch of Sanskrit learning. Name lists give Neeti as "ethics", "morality" or "right conduct", close to the dictionary. In modern Hindi nīti is also the ordinary word for a policy, so the name has a familiar, everyday sense.
