Raghavi meaning
Raghavi (राघवी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (modern). By its first sound, रा, it is a Tula rashi name (Chitra nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Of Raghu's line (feminine of rāghava, "descendant of Raghu")
Also used to mean: of raghu's lineage
Raghavi (राघवी) is a feminine formed from Sanskrit rāghava, "a descendant of Raghu". Monier-Williams notes that rāghava is used especially of Rāma, and also of his ancestors Aja and Daśaratha; in the dual it means Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa. Raghu was the great king of the solar dynasty after whom the line is named. Name lists give Raghavi as "of Raghu's lineage" and some link it to Sita, Rāma's wife. The dictionary has no separate feminine entry, so the name is a later counterpart of the boys' name Raghav, used especially in South India.
