Rajat meaning
Rajat (रजत) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Silver; silvery, whitish
Rajat (रजत) is the Sanskrit rajata. In the Ṛgveda and other Vedic texts it is an adjective meaning whitish or silvery, and the poets described silver as "whitish gold". From there it became the ordinary word for silver itself, and for things made of silver. Monier-Williams adds rarer senses from the lexicographers, among them gold, ivory and a pearl ornament, and records Rajata as the name of a mountain and of a lake. Indian name lists give the name as "silver", which is exactly the dictionary meaning. It is a short, bright-sounding name, usually spelled Rajat in English.
