Rupak meaning
Rupak (रूपक) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, रू, it is a Tula rashi name (Swati nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Form, figure, likeness; a metaphor; a drama
Rupak (रूपक) is the Sanskrit rūpaka, built on rūpa, "form". As a noun Monier-Williams gives it as form, figure, shape or appearance, and as an image or likeness. In Sanskrit poetics rūpaka is the name for metaphor, a comparison made without the word for "like", and in dramaturgy it is the general term for a drama, especially the principal kinds of play. MW also records rūpaka as a coin, probably a rupee, and as a measure in music, with the compound rūpaka-tāla; in Hindustani music Rupak is still the name of a rhythmic cycle. Name lists give the same core meaning, "form". It is related to Rupa and is given to boys.
