Sahibjot meaning
Sahibjot (ਸਾਹਿਬਜੋਤ) is a Sikh boy's name of Punjabi origin (Arabic and Sanskrit parts).
Sāhib (the Lord) joined with jot (light): light of the Lord
Sahibjot (ਸਾਹਿਬਜੋਤ) joins sāhib with jot. Sāhib, from Arabic ṣāḥib, is master or Lord; the Mahan Kosh gives it as the Creator, and the Japji calls God the true Master, ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ (Ang 2). Jot is light and the divine light within all (Ang 13). The name therefore means "light of the Lord". It is a modern Sikh name, mostly for boys, formed in the same way as Prabhjot and Harjot; few name lists explain it, and they do not agree, so we give the meaning of the parts.
