Sahdev meaning
Sahdev (सहदेव) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
With the gods; name of the youngest Pāṇḍava
Sahdev (सहदेव) is Sanskrit sahadeva, from saha, "with", and deva, "god", so "with the gods". Monier-Williams records the adjective and then a long list of bearers, beginning with a Ṛṣi of the Rig Veda. The best known is Sahadeva of the Mahābhārata, the youngest of the five Pāṇḍava brothers and twin of Nakula, born to Mādrī. A son of Jarāsandha and an uncle of the Buddha are among the others who carried the name. Name lists give "with the gods" or refer to the Pandava prince.
