Toshit meaning
Toshit (तोषित) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, तो, it is a Vrishchik rashi name (Vishakha nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Satisfied, gratified, pleased
Also used to mean: happy
Toshit (तोषित) is the Sanskrit toṣita, "satisfied, gratified, pleased", from the verb tuṣ, "to be content". Monier-Williams cites it from the Mahābhārata, the Rāmāyaṇa and Kālidāsa's Śakuntalā. The same root gives toṣa, "contentment", and the names Toshan and Santosh, and Toshit sits naturally beside them. Name lists give Toshit as "satisfied" or "pleased", and some Marathi lists as "happy", all of which fit the dictionary. It is a short Sanskrit name with a gentle meaning.
